Through strategic planning, we will seek to establish key priorities that integrate health into every aspect of campus life.
Medical Services
Your overall health and wellness is our first priority at the John & Ella Byrd McCain Health and Counseling Services Center. We function as a walk-in clinic (we do not accept appointments). It is important to know that waiting times vary depending on the amount of patients requiring care. Acute and Preventative Care
We provide treatment for non-emergency illness or injuries that include:
- Strains & Sprains
- Colds / Flu-like Symptoms
- Medication Refill
- Physicals ($50.00)*
*Fees can be paid at the Cashier's Office in Patton Hall. Bring the receipt to the Health and Counseling Center to show proof-of-payment. Fees can also be paid online.
Testing Services
STD/STI & HIV testing are performed Monday-Thursday mornings only. Below are testing we provide: HIV Testing
- STI / STD Testing
- Pregnancy Testing
- Drug Testing ($25.00)*
- Sickle Cell Testing
- TB Test ($25.00)
*Fees can be paid at the Cashier's Office in Patton Hall. Bring the receipt to the Health and Counseling Center to show proof-of-payment. Fees can also be paid online.
Women's Health
OB/GYN services are performed Monday-Thursdays mornings only. Women's Health services include:
- Annual Gynecological Exams
- Routine Pelvic Exams
- Pap smears
- Contraception
- STI / STD / HIV Testing
- Pregnancy Testing
- Physicals ($50.00)*
*Fees can be paid at the Cashier's Office in Patton Hall. Bring the receipt to the Health and Counseling Center to show proof-of-payment. Fees can also be paid online.
Men's Health
Men's Health concerns vary. The services that we provide include:
- Genital Exams
- STI / STD / HIV Testing
- Sport Injuries
- Physicals ($50.00)*
*Fees can be paid at the Cashier's Office in Patton Hall. Bring the receipt to the Health and Counseling Center to show proof-of-payment. Fees can also be paid online.
Referrals
The clinic providers treat many illness and injuries; however, if the problem is beyond our scope, we will provide referrals to medical professionals in the Huntsville area. We also provide referrals to nearby walk-in clinics or urgent care centers.
