Alabama A&M University head baseball coach Elliott Jones announced on Friday the 2024 baseball schedule, which features 23 home games at the Bulldog Baseball Field, including a non-conference series against Butler and a single game against UT-Martin.

"We're excited about the 2024 competitive schedule," Jones said. "We will be facing a lot of good programs and players, and this will allow for us to raise our game and be up for the challenge."

The Bulldogs, who went 14-34 overall and 5-24 in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), will visit one of the top baseball programs of the country in Tennessee on April 9.

"It is always great having an SEC program on the schedule to give our student-athletes a chance to compete on a national level and stage," Jones said. "Tennessee has been a Top 25 program every year and Coach (Tony) Vitello and his staff do a great job. We will be ready for this opportunity."

Alabama A&M opens the season against a familiar foe and conference member Arkansas-Pine Bluff, for a three-game series Feb. 16-18 in Pine Bluff, Ark.

The Bulldogs' home opener is Feb. 20 as Tennessee Tech, which begins a stretch of five straight games at the Bulldog Baseball Field. Alabama A&M plays host to Butler for three games, starting on Feb. 23 and concludes the homestand on Feb. 27 against Stillman.

The Maroon and White open the second month of the season seven consecutive road games, starting on March 1 with a three-game series at New Orleans. AAMU visits Tennessee Tech on March 5, and conclude the road swing with a trip to Monroe, La., for three games at ULM (March 5-8).

Alabama A&M opens SWAC play at home as Florida A&M comes to town for three games, March 15-17, but the Bulldogs return to the road for five straight games. AAMU travels to UT-Martin on March 19, followed by three games at Alabama State (March 22-24) and wraps up the road swing at UAB on March 26.

The Bulldogs return home for three games against Bethune-Cookman, March 28-30, before visiting North Alabama on April 2.

The Maroon and White play host to Mississippi Valley State April 5-7, before visiting Tennessee on April 9.

After three games at Jackson State (April 12-14), the Bulldogs play host to Faulkner on April 16. AAMU returns to the road for four games, starting April 26-28 in Daytona Beach, Fla. against Bethune-Cookman and conclude the trip at Austin Peay (April 30).

Alabama A&M begins the final month with four straight home games, with three against rival Alabama State (May 3-5) and a single game against UT-Martin (May 7).

The Bulldogs take to the road one final time with four straight games, visiting Mississippi Valley State (May 10-12) and Murray State (May 14), before concluding the regular season at home against Jackson State (May 16-18).

The 2024 SWAC Baseball Tournament begins May 22 in Atlanta, Ga.
