Ugbinada Leads Alabama A&M Bowling at Tracks Kat Klash

HOUSTON, Texas – Alabama A&M wrapped up action at Sam Houston State's Tracks Kat Klash, finishing 18-of-20 from November 4-6.

The Bulldogs went 2-3 in qualifying play on Day 1, falling to Maryland Eastern Shore (921-731), Maryville (1,030-811) and McKendree (1,077-889) before defeating Alabama-Birmingham (898-835) and Upper Iowa (944-914).

The second day would see them drop four matches, beginning with a 1,033-808 defeat at the hands of North Carolina Central. Following that they would fall to Lewis (897-783), Central Missouri (960-946) and Delaware State (987-867)

Individually, Rose Ugbinada led with a 57-of-125 finish that saw her post a pinfall of 177.00 while Andreana Jones placed one spot back in 58th at 176.80. Tamyra Long wrapped up the top performers with a 73rd place finish at 163.00.

Perennial national title contender McKendree claimed the tournament title with a 211.1 while North Carolina A&T (206.1), Sam Houston (204.7), Maryville (203.8) and Delaware State (203.8) rounded out the top five.

The Bulldogs are now off until heading to Montgomery, Alabama for the ISTAP Hornet Classic. Hosted by Alabama State at the Bowlero Bowling Center, that tournament will run from November 18-20.
